What I’m Loving: Easter Candy

My favorite Easter Candy

I had something completely different prepared to share with you today, but then I started to think about what I’m really loving right now, and if I’m honest (and I am), the thing I’m really loving is all the Easter candy! This is obviously a little ironic considering yesterday’s post was all about getting your’ kids to eat vegetables, but I’m a believer in moderation! I don’t like that Easter candy comes out right after Valentine’s Day. After all, the earlier the candy comes out, the more Mini Eggs I’m destined to eat.

I used to be a total sucker for the Cadbury Creme Egg, even more so when they came out with the mini version, but then I read this article, and to be honest, I haven’t eaten an egg since. If there’s such an article written about the Mini Eggs or the Peanut Butter Cup eggs, please don’t shareΒ  that information with me. This year I also discovered the Cadbury White Chocolate Mini Eggs, and it’s probably and good thing for me that they’re sold out at my local store! (Lucky for you if you live in the Lower 48, you can order these today and still have them before Easter!)

Cadbury Mini Eggs

I’m going to share a little secret with you. I’m not the biggest fan of straight up Peeps. Maybe they work just fine in some Rice Krispie treats, but they’re not my favorite right out of the package. I do love the Lindt Truffle Eggs , and so I save those for me. They’re a little more expensive, and my kids don’t really appreciate them, so why put them in their baskets?!

I feel like a bit of a glutton writing this, but Easter only happens and once a year. Obviously Easter isn’t about candy, but I love the idea of anything that ties a happy memory to a tradition, and if a backyard Easter Egg hunt will be part of our collective happy memories then I’m all for it.

What are your favorite Easter Candies?
